It’s now official that Vijay has moved on to his next venture Sura, directed by Rajakumar. Sura will also be his 50th movie, the shoots of which are underway in Kerala. Director Rajakumar seems to be concentrating on finishing up the romantic scenes first and hence for the same reason, Vijay is seen canoodling with Tamanna on the sets of the movie.

Touted to be a 2010 release, Sura is produced by Sangili Murugan who earlier produced Vijay’s Kadalukku Mariyadhai.

Vijay’s 50th film ‘Sura’ had a grand audio launch last evening at Lady Andal School herein Chennai. The event was attended by many film celebrities of Kollywood and everyone conveyed their heartiest wishes for the success of this film.

Now the latest buzzes are that Sun Pictures is planning to release the film on April 14 as it would attract more audiences for this summer vacation. After a very long time, we tend to notice that Vijay’s films are getting released within short intervals as ‘Vettaikaran’ had hit screens only in December and now ‘Sura’ within next 4 months.

The film is directed by SP Rajkumar and is produced by Sangli Murugan of Murugan Cine Combines… Thamannah stars opposite Vijay in female lead while Dev Gille of ‘Magadheera’ fame is the baddie and Vadivelu takes care of comedy portions.
